Getting started

Sign in with your Apple ID from the welcome screen — there's no separate account to create. The first time you sign in you'll be asked to pick a display name, which is what other people on your lists will see. Create a list from the home screen, or join one by opening a friend's invite link.

Invite links

Open a list and tap Invite to get a link you can share however you like — text, group chat, anywhere. Anyone who opens it sees the list's name and how many people are on it, and joins as soon as they sign in. Links expire after seven days; make a new one any time from the same screen. If you shared a link by mistake, you can revoke it before it's used.

Opened a link and it didn't take you into the app? Make sure Later Tonight is installed, then try the link again — iOS needs the app on the device to hand the link off correctly. You can also enter the invite as a code instead of tapping the link.

Using a list

• Add a movie or show by searching for it — posters, ratings, and details come from TMDB and OMDb.
• React or leave a comment on anything in the list to weigh in without committing to it.
• Mark something watched once your group's gotten to it, so the list only shows what's actually left.
• Everything you add is attributed to your display name, which you can change any time from your account settings.

Leaving or deleting a list

Any member can leave a list from its settings. If you own a list, deleting it removes it for everyone on it — there's no owner handoff, so make sure that's what you want first.

Account and data

Delete your account from Account → Delete account in the app. That removes your lists, your sign-in, and your name and email from our records. For the full picture of what we collect and how account deletion works, see our privacy policy.

Troubleshooting

Sign-in isn't working. Check that Sign in with Apple is available for your Apple ID under Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security, and that you have a network connection. If it still fails, email us with roughly when it happened.

A list isn't updating. Pull down to refresh. If things still look out of date, force-quit and reopen the app.

Something looks wrong or the app crashed. Email us a quick description of what you were doing — the more specific, the faster we can track it down.
